Good Habits of Tae Kwon Do

  1. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the class is to start.
  2. Bow when entering or leaving the training area.
  3. Avoid taking part in loud activities. Students should remain silent during class.
  4. Warm up prior to class.
  5. Do not chew gum or smoke in or around the school premises.
  6. Wear a clean uniform. No markings are allowed except by the instructor’s permission.
  7. No swearing is allowed in or around the school premises.
  8. No student will perform any demonstrations or exhibition without permission from the       instructor.
  9. No shoes will be worn in the training area. (This includes parents please.)
10. No jewelry is to be worn during practice or class.

Attendance is the key to making progress. We recommend a minimum of 2 classes a week to gain the maximum benefits. Be sure to let your instructor or student director know of any obstacles preventing regular class attendance so that we may assist you in overcoming them. Overcoming obstacles and experiencing the exhilaration of victory is one way we teach our students self-discipline, confidence, perseverance and the value of teamwork.

Class Times
Please refer to your schedule for the class times. If you are unable to attend class, please speak with your program director or one of your instructors. Parents should drop off their children ten minutes prior to class and pick them up within ten minutes after class. MVTKD is very busy during class times and we cannot be held responsible for unattended children.

Holidays and Closures
Master Velazquez Tae Kwon Do follows the Public School system calendar for all holidays. Notifications of all holidays will be posted. We close the last week of December for Holiday break. Students are also reminded about days the school will be closed in advance.
